Case Study
Objective
WaitRoom is a mobile-first virtual queueing app that eliminates long physical lines at banks, clinics, hospitals, and government offices in Nigeria. Users join a digital "waiting room" remotely via QR code, app, WhatsApp, or USSD, track their real-time position, and receive notifications when it's their turn, allowing them to wait productively from anywhere instead of standing in crowded queues for hours.
Process
For this roadmap, my design process involved researching 4 types of product roadmaps, using a combination of competitive benchmarking, industry-standard frameworks, and user-centric logic to balance technical feasibility and business growth.
By looking at these various styles, I was able to synthesize a strategy that doesn't just list features but actually tells a story of how the Waitroom App will evolve.
Outcome
Developing this roadmap helped sharpen my skills in strategic product planning, market research, and the art of balancing immediate technical feasibility with a visionary, long-term business strategy.
This project provided valuable insights into the critical intersection of behavioral psychology and digital efficiency, revealing that the "sensation" of waiting is often more damaging to a business than the wait itself.
